MAHS Champion Purple Hurricanes Chosen As Fox 5 Sports Team of the Week
With more than 50 percent of the vote, Monroe Area's Purple Hurricanes secured their place as this week's Fox 5 Sports Team of the Week
The recently crowned Region 8 AAAA Champion Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes won the vote to be Fox 5 Sports Team of the Week for Friday's game. Voting ended at 3 p.m. Tuesday with MAHS Purple Hurricanes receiving 69,735 votes giving them the win. WOW. Running close, but not enough to beat the canes, were the Griffin Bears with 64,698 votes or 47 percent. A distant third were the Loganville Red Devils. Find all the results here .
