The rain held off long enough for Monroe's 2013 Freedom Fest to go on as planned on its rescheduled date. Festivities had to be postponed on July 4th because of the possibility of bad weather.
Although the fireworks had to be delayed for a while due to a storm, the weather cooperated for the earlier events.
