Buford Highway Asian Eateries Well-Received By Critics
Gu's Bistro and Crawfish Shack Seafood got good notes in the AJC this week. Reasonably priced, eclectic food, apparently.

Gu's Bistro and Crawfish Shack Seafood both got pretty good reviews in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution this week.
Crawfish Shack, which sits next to DeKalb Peachtree Airport, is Cajun seafood thanks to Hieu Pham, an "Atlanta of Vietnamese, Chinese and Cambodian extraction who was born in Grady Memorial Hospital."

This is down-and-delicious, head-sucking seafood that’s always fresh tasting, sometimes farmed and once in a while previously frozen. So, I do want to sell the eatery just right, because that’s what Hieu Pham does. He’s a great restaurateur, and I think we’re just seeing the beginning of what he can do.

Gu's is a spicy Sichuan Chinese restaurant just north of our area. (Still, a straight shot up Buford Highway.) Head chef Yiquan Gu is known for his giant portions.
The final verdict on Gu's:
For the uninitiated, it will take multiple visits to scratch the surface of what Gu’s Bistro is capable of. But it is an enjoyable experience and one that should be shared with family and friends.
