Clairmont Road Remains Closed Thursday Afternoon
There is no timeline on when the road will reopen completely.
The northbound lane of Clairmont Road is now open after a large water main break closed the road, just south of Century Center, on Wednesday afternoon.
The lane was opened just after 5 p.m., according to the City of Brookhaven.
The other lanes of Clairmont Road will remain closed into the evening Thursday because of new complications in repairing the ruptured water main.
DeKalb County Water and Sewer Department crews have been on scene since Wednesday afternoon when a water main burst in the 2900 block of Clairmont Road in Brookhaven near Century Center. As of 4:15 p.m., crews remained on scene. No timeline is available.
Traffic is being detoured. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
