Coming Up: Lakeside 5K, Christmas Show, St. Pius Marketplace

What's going on in the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area this week? Here are some events in the community.

Shallowford Prebyterian Food Trucks. 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20. 2375 Shallowford Rd NE, Atlanta.

6th Annual Viking 5K and Fun Run. The event takes place Saturday, Nov 23. The 5K will start at 8 a.m., followed by the 1 mile Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. The race will start and end at Lakeside High School. An awards ceremony will follow the race. Register before Nov. 19 and the cost is $20; after the 19th the cost is $25. Online registration is at Active.com website. All proceeds support Lakeside Foundation programs to enhance education, athletics, and the arts at the school.

Christmas with Hans Christian Andersen. Two performances will be at the St. Pius X Theater Saturday, Nov. 23, 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Reserved tickets  available online until Wednesday, Nov. 20.. Ticket sales will resume at the theater on the day of the show.

St. Pius X 20th Annual Holiday Marketplace 2013. One-day gift show is Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
