Man Robs North Decatur McDonald's at Gunpoint, Fires Weapon
The suspect robbed the restaurant and fled into nearby woods early Wednesday morning.

A man robbed in North Decatur at gunpoint early Wednesday morning and fired his gun into the restaurant's floor while doing it, DeKalb County police said.
The suspect walked into the store at the intersection of North Decatur and Clairmont roads with a black handgun at 3:39am, the police report said.
"Don't nobody [expletive] move," the man said.

The suspect jumped over the counter, and a female employee at the front of the restaurant ran out the back and hid in the woods. The suspect walked to the back of the restaurant, approached a male employee, fired one round into the floor outside the office and demanded the employee stay still.
The employee walked into the break room while the suspect entered the office and took money from the register drawers and the safe. Another female employee hid in the restaurant freezer during the robbery, and the restaurant manager found two people in the restaurant's parking lot and told them to call police.

The robber fled the restaurant heading west on North Decatur Road and ran into the woods. Witnesses saw a red vehicle pass the restaurant and believe it was involved.
A manager estimated about $700 was taken. The suspect was described as a black male about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 pounds. He wore a purple bandana covering his face, gloves, a black shirt and camoflage pants.
