Man Snatches Bag from 12-Year-Old Girl at Bus Stop
The man walked up to the girl near Valley Place Apartments as she was waiting for the school bus on June 21.

A man approached a 12-year-old girl waiting for the morning school bus at Valley Place Apartments and snatched her bag on June 21, DeKalb County police said.
The girl was standing near 3324 Valley Brook Rd. just east of when the man walked up to her at about 7:15am, the police report said. He asked the girl if she was from around the area, and she said yes. The man demanded that she give him her bag, and when she said no, he snatched it from her and ran back into the apartment complex.
The girl returned home to tell her parents, and when she and her father went looking for the suspect, the girl said she saw him drive off in a blue or green van. The van's tag number was given to police, and no one was injured.

The suspect was described as an Asian male in his early to mid-20s and about 5 to 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a red cap, white jacket and gray shorts.
