Shallowford Pres. Names Pastor of Children's Ministry
Rev. Landon Dillard joins staff of six at 1000+ member church to work with young kids and their families
Shallowford Presbyterian Church (SPC) recently named Rev. Landon A. Dillard as Associate Pastor of Children’s Ministry. Rev. Dillard joins Senior Pastor Rev. Anna George Traynham and a program staff of six at this growing church of 1,000 members located in central DeKalb County. Since the church remains closed for services because of COVID-19, members, friends, and neighbors of all ages recently welcomed Rev. Dillard in person with a special drive-thru event in the church parking lot.
Rev. Dillard has responsibility for the comprehensive ministry to children from ages newborn through 5th Grade and their families, including Sunday morning, additional ministry activities, pastoral care to children and their families, special events and outings. She provides leadership in worship and serves as a liaison to the Board of Shallowford Presbyterian School.
"We are thrilled to have Landon join our Shallowford staff and family of faith.,” said Rev. Traynham. “Her energy is contagious, her love for Christ and for children is evident, and her organization skills are hard to match! God has blessed us with the right person to lead our youngest disciples as they grow in faith."

Rev. Dillard came to Shallowford Presby. Church from Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina where she served as associate pastor for Christian formation for the past four years.
“I feel so blessed that God has called me to such a welcoming and loving community!” said rev. Dillard. “I am excited to help Shallowford’s youngest disciples know God’s love and grace and to give them a place to belong, grow in faith, engage in mission, and have FUN! It is a true gift to be able to minister to Shallowford’s children and their families. I am thrilled to be joining such a wonderful family of faith!”

A native of Charlotte, NC, she grew up at First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, where she participated in a variety of church activities including bell choir, youth group, local service projects, mission trips, and Montreat conferences. She attended Furman University and earned a BA in business administration. After a few years working in Charlotte, she answered a call to ministry, attended Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta, and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is the proud owner of a chocolate lab named Camden.
