Winning $300K Lotto Ticket Purchased in North Decatur

An extraordinarily lucky Decatur woman won more than $300,000 this week after she bought a lottery ticket from a North Decatur gas station – her second major lotto score in four years.

Norma Chavez, 60, of Decatur won in Sunday's Fantasy 5 drawing, part of the Georgia Lottery, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. She purchased the ticket from the at the intersection of Clairmont and North Decatur roads. The total amount: $317,530.

Chavez won the ticket using the same number (3-5-9-10-28) she used to win $52,000 a year for life as part of the state's Win for Life lottery in 2007.
