Cobb Sheriff's Gun Safety Class Is Thursday
Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren is hosting a gun safety class on Thursday, Sept. 14.

MARIETTA, GA -- Ever wanted to know how to handle a gun -- the right way? On Thursday, Sept. 14, the second in a series of three firearms safety classes will be held by Cobb County's top cop. The classes by Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren include an overview of the types of firearms out there, gun safety tips and how to get a Georgia Weapons License, the county said.
The class will also cover the topic of using deadly force and things to expect during an active shooter situation. The series will build in enough time for questions so if you have any queries, feel free to bring them.
The first class was held in Acworth at the North Cobb Senior Center. The next one is Thursday and the final one will be in early November, the city said in a news release.
