Former Papa John's Assistant Manager Faces Felony Theft Charge

A Hull woman is accused of taking over $6,000 in small increments from the Oconee restaurant. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

A Hull woman who worked at in the Butler's Crossing Shopping Center as an assistant manager is believed to have been adjusting down daily deposits over a period of time in order to steal more than $6,000, the reported Monday.

Jade Kristen Boerl, 20, turned herself into the Oconee County Jail on March 5 on a warrant for a charge of felony theft by taking.  She was being held pending an appearance with the judge, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation after the manager of the restaurant   According to the initial incident report, the employee under investigation had been employed for about a year.

The Sheriff's Office reports a warrant for Boerl's arrest was issued in mid-February.
