Oconee Today -- March 13

A morning traffic advisory and a ribbon cutting are a couple of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

Weather: Another chance of rain is in the National Weather Service's forecast with cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid 70s.

Top things to know:

  • Expect a brief traffic delay this morning.  According to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, there will be lane closures on Ga 316 north and southbound at US 78 from 10-10:20 a.m. while a power line is being installed. 
  • The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce holds a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting for Laster Legal, located at 1351 Jennings Mill Road - Suite D-2. 
  • Today is the deadline for Chamber members to RSVP for the March 15 morning coffee.  It will be held at Athens First Bank at 8 a.m. and the Business Expo poster winners will be recognized. Email zgattie@oconeechamber.org for more information.
  • It's Spirit Night! A percentage of sales this evening at in Watkinsville will be donated to Rocky Branch Elementary School.
