See all the stops along the way (onlineathens.com) — Buddhist monks on a 120-day “Walk for Peace” recently passed through our area, spending a night in Bishop just outside Watkinsville before heading toward South Carolina. Their Watkinsville-area stop offered a welcome rest, special care for their rescue companion Aloka the Peace Dog, and a chance for nearby residents to connect with the cross-country peace journey.
