New Year's Eve Events in Gwinnett County

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA -- Whether it’s fireworks, country music, dancing or laughs you’re after, there’s something going on New Year’s Eve in Gwinnett County for you.

Here’s our look at some of the public events scheduled for Thursday, December 31 in the county:

• Duluth New Year’s Eve Extravaganza. Sponsored by the City of Duluth, the event, which kicks off at 7 p.m. at Duluth Town Green and Main Street, will feature fireworks, games, live music, food and a midnight drop of the city’s winged disco ball. The event is free to the public.
• Flashlight 5K in Lawrenceville. If running in the new year is more your speed, the Flashlight 5K steps off from First United Methodist Church, at 395 W. Crogan St., at 6 p.m. Registration for the race begins at 4 p.m. Runners are encouraged to wear a headlamp or carry a flashlight with them.
• The Rock 100.5 FM Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Bootlegger’s Ball. The rock station’s New Year’s event will be held at Tannery Row Ale House, 554 W. Main St. in Buford, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. In addition to live music, the event will features personalities from the radio station, dancing, raffle prizes and food. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at tanneryrowalehouse.com.
• The Dancing4Fun New Year’s Eve Masquerade Party. Held at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast, 5993 Peachtree Industrial Blvd. in Peachtree Corners, the event offers dinner and dancing on multiple dance floors at the hotel. • A New Year’s Eve Comedy Bash. The evening will feature comic Mia Jackson, of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and be at the Atlanta Comedy Theater, 4650 Jimmy Carter Blvd., in Norcross. Jackson will have shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Ticket information is available at the theater’s website.
• Wild Bill’s New Year’s Eve. The country music venue presents a New Year’s Eve concert featuring Colt Ford and Joe Hall. Tickets range from $30-50. Wild Bill’s is located at 2075 Market St., in Duluth.
