“Due to the snow and ice accumulations, roads will become extremely hazardous,” according to the National Weather Service. ”The weight of the ice on trees will bring down branches and some weaker trees.”

Power lines could also come down due to the weight of the ice.

Temperatures will fall into the mid-20s to the lower 30s across the region Sunday night, increasing to the mid-30s by late Monday afternoon.

“Continue to monitor the latest forecasts,” according to the weather service.
