• Bryan County pulls support for proposed Richmond Hill airport after months of pushback (wjcl.com) — Bryan County commissioners have withdrawn all financial support for the proposed $128 million Richmond Hill–Bryan County airport, responding to months of organized opposition from Richmond Hill-area residents. Leaders cited safety concerns, questionable demand, and planning costs, while opponents say they’ll keep pushing to remove the county from the Airport Authority entirely.
   

• Bryan Co. citizens ask leaders for more animal services (wsav.com) — Bryan County residents are pressing leaders to expand animal services just as a new 4,400-square-foot shelter opens Dec. 15 on Dog Lane in Richmond Hill. Locals are calling for more staff, better hours, and a foster-based volunteer program, while county officials say the new Richmond Hill facility and a fresh team will help assess future needs and structure any volunteer efforts.
   

• WTOC Top Teacher: Matt Lezotte (wtoc.com) — Richmond Hill High School’s head football coach and weight training teacher, Matt Lezotte, is being honored as WTOC’s Top Teacher for his impact on local students. Now in his 11th year at Richmond Hill, he focuses on demanding excellence, building soft skills, and preparing teens for life well beyond the football field and weight room.
