Atlanta’s Philanthropic Writing Couple Will Launch New Books July 25

A Novel Idea hosts George Weinstein and Kim Conrey, Atlanta Writers Club officers, with their new releases at Alpharetta's Brimstone Tavern

(Patch)

Authors George Weinstein and Kim Conrey will be discussing their new releases during a free event Tuesday, July 25, in Alpharetta. Hosted by A Novel Idea, the writers’ double book launch will be at 7 p.m. at Brimstone Restaurant & Tavern, 10595 Old Alabama Road.

The novelists, who are married, serve as Atlanta Writers Club officers – Weinstein is executive director and Conrey is vice president of operations.

Weinstein, who additionally holds the lifetime title of Atlanta Writers Conference Director, is the award-winning author of numerous books, including historical fiction, mystery-thrillers, domestic drama and children's fiction. His new release, “Offlining,” is a sci-fi comedy, which he jokingly said he wrote for reasons only he can explain and is apparently so embarrassed by that he published it under the pen name of G.J. Weinstein.

She's also the author of the urban fantasy/paranormal romance “Nicholas Eternal,” book one in the Wayward Saviors series. Her stories and essays have been published in regional and local press, and she also collaborates on the Wild Women Who Write Take Flight podcast.

Both Weinstein and Conrey will be answering questions and signing books, which Bookmiser will have available to purchase. To register for Tuesday’s free event, click here. For more information, go to anovelidea.us.
