Here are the top four stories in Roswell today:

  1. Thomas Turner, an Atlanta-based muralist, has been commissioned by Chattahoochee Nature Center to create a one-of-a-kind mural for the center. His mural is not only going to welcome visitors, but will tell a story while encompassing and translating Turner’s surrealistic view of the natural world. Turner's mural will descend down a multi-tier hillside staircase located in the Center’s Ben Brady Lakeside Pavilion. He is scheduled to begin creating his mural onsite on March 27 and is predicted to be completed in mid-April.(newsbreak.com)
  2. A female employee at the Tapestry House in Roswell reported an assault with a weapon by a co-worker on March 4. The report states that the two co-workers were in an argument earlier that day and it soon turned physical after the two pushed each other. A third employee interceded to stop the fight from escalating. However, the woman told police that the co-worker approached her again with a pocketknife exposed and called for another fight. The woman left the scene to call the police. Responding officers were not able to access the facility's security footage to review the incident. The woman pressed charges against her co-worker and reported the assault to her employer as well. (appenmedia.com)
  3. Sebela Women's Health Inc., a Roswell-based pharmaceuticals company, will be releasing its findings from research from a seven-year project. Researchers did a post-hoc comparison of payer costs for hormonal and non-hormonal IUDs this week. The organization analyzed seven years of data from U.S. commercial claims and costs related to IUD complications and device removals. Their findings will be presented at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Congress. This meeting is held from March 21-24 in San Antonio, TX. (finance.yahoo.com)
  4. Over 200 people attended the Computer Museum of America's “Byte: A Night of Cuisine, Cocktails and Computers” fundraiser on March 9. The attendees toured exhibits in the over 34,000-square-foot building that holds over 300,000 technological artifacts. Proceeds from the event benefitted this nonprofit museum. Executive Director Rena Youngblood says that the museum's growth hasn’t been as fast” as the museum’s team had hoped. They are hoping this event brings more awareness and attraction to the Computer Museum of America. (appenmedia.com)
