Man Drowns After Saving Child In Chattahoochee River

ROSWELL, GA — A man who saved a child from the Chattahoochee River drowned Wednesday night in Roswell, police said Thursday.
The man disappeared into the water after saving the child near Garrard Landing Park, Roswell Police said.

Officers believe they found the man's body after multiple agencies searched for about an hour in the river, police said. The man was not identified.
Police do not suspect criminal activity in his death, they said.
