Old Ellis Extension Project Open House On Oct. 25

The city of Roswell will host the open house on plans to connect the road to the recently constructed Sun Valley Drive Phase 1 project.

ROSWELL, GA — The city of Roswell will host a public information open house about the Old Ellis Extension project on Thursday, Oct. 25. The open house will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sanctuary Park in Alpharetta.

This project is currently in the design phase, with construction estimated to begin in about 2 to 3 years. Plans call for extending Old Ellis Road from its current western terminus to intersect with the recently constructed Sun Valley Drive Phase 1 project. It will include improvements along existing Old Ellis Road, a roundabout at the intersection of the Old Ellis Road Extension and Sun Valley Drive, and a bridge over Foe Killer Creek.

The project will be approximately 1.1 miles in length and include 11-foot travel lanes, a 12-foot center turn lane from just east of Foe Killer Creek to the intersection of Old Ellis Road and Old Roswell Road, 4-foot bike lanes, curb and gutter, a 5-foot sidewalk, and a 10-foot shared-use path.
