Roswell Teacher Killed While Crossing Highway
Susanne "Sue" Scheer taught special education at Roswell High School and Mountain Park and Vickery Mill elementary schools.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Fulton County School System is mourning the loss of an educator who died when she was hit by a vehicle Saturday evening in Roswell. Roswell police said the pedestrian was crossing Alpharetta Street/Ga. 9 in front of Lucky's Burger and Brew and Pure Taqueria when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on the highway.
Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland said traffic enforcement investigators are not sure which direction the pedestrian, identified as Susanne Scheer, was traveling. She also said Scheer was not in the crosswalk at the time of the fatal collision. The driver of the vehicle did not see the pedestrian until after she was hit, Holland added.
The Fulton County School System said Scheer taught special education for 18 years at Mountain Park and Vickery Mill elementary schools and Roswell High School.
