- A driver is currently facing charges for driving their vehicle through a Georgia Southern dorm. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday at Centennial Place. The university evacuated the dorm and put the 134 students into hotels overnight. Forty students have been permanently displaced due to the incident. (WTOC)
- The next week is forecasted to be very warm and very dry. This dry weather will likely be the prevailing trend for the beginning of 2023 in Savannah. The area's rainfall levels have been trending below normal levels for the majority of 2022; Savannah is over 10 inches of rainfall behind its typical levels. (WSAV)
- The Savannah Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday night. The incident occurred in the 800 block of W. 38th Street. Christopher Johnson was found inside a residence with gunshot wounds and died from his injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (WTOC)
