• What to know about projects coming to Tybee Island in 2026 (savannahnow.com) — Major work is coming to Tybee Island in 2026 that Savannah-area residents will feel, from a $1 million dune project along the Savannah River shipping channel to a $20 million beach renourishment. The city also plans sewer fixes after recent spills, a new 60-inch drainage pipe, progress on a new fire station, and a master plan for Memorial Park and Solomon Avenue improvements.

There she recently made her solemn vows, marking a lifelong commitment to contemplative religious life, supported by family from Kenya and her new community.
