Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- A drunk driver crashed their vehicle in front of Broughton Street's Kendra Scott store on Wednesday morning. The Savannah Police Department is currently investigating the incident and reports that no injuries were sustained. The store will be closed for the next few days while the manager assesses the damage. (WTOC)
- As of Wednesday evening, the Savannah Police Department is searching for a missing 79-year-old woman. Beverly Tillman was last seen in the 1800 block of Fitzgerald Street on Tuesday morning and she reportedly suffers from dementia. Anyone with information about Tillman's whereabouts is asked to contact the department immediately. (fox28media.com)
- Two Georgia democratic candidates held news conferences on Tuesday in Savannah to call out their incumbent opponents. Charlie Bailey, running for Lieutenant Governor, and Wade Herring, running for the state's First Congressional District, called out their opponents for supporting "extremist policies." Congressman Buddy Carter currently holds the First Congressional District position and Republic State Senator Burt Jones is running to be Lieutenant Governor. (WTOC)
