- Unincorporated Chatham County homeowners have received a fire service fee bill. The bill is meant to fund the county's $13 million contract with Chatham Emergency Services. There is a flat fee of $100 for all land but each fire service fee varies from homeowner to homeowner. The more square footage, the higher the bill. (WJCL News Savannah)
- Savannah CEO has announced the finalists of the 2022 Tourism Awards. The finalists were selected by the Award and Scholarship Selection Committee. The committee reviewed the nominations with identifying information removed to ensure fairness. The full list of finalists is available at the link. (Savannah CEO)
- The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Savannah. According to the agency, there will be sub-freezing temperatures into the high 20s this morning (Nov. 18). Residents are advised to protect sensitive crops, vegetation, and exposed piping. Don't forget to bring pets indoors. Temperatures will rise into the high 50s throughout the day. (WJCL)
