- The Chatham County Police Department issued an update on the search for Quinton Simon, a toddler that went missing on Oct. 5, on Monday. The department and the FBI are still searching the county's landfill for Simon's remains. According to the department, the chances that Simon's remains are found are "low." The department has not indicated an end date for the landfill search. (Savannah Patch)
- Savannah's city leaders met on Monday to discuss the city's spending priorities for the fiscal year 2023. The meeting was held at the Civic Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The public was invited to attend. The meeting was also streamed on the city's social media channels. - The Savannah Police Department is currently investigating an incident that resulted in a car crashing through a Skidaway Road Taco Bell. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon and resulted in severe damage to the restaurant. The status of the vehicle's driver is currently unknown. Thankfully, no Taco Bell customers were injured during the incident. (WJCL News Savannah)
