- St. Philip AME Church and Black Voters Matter teamed up to distribute snacks to voters waiting in long lines. After the passage of SB 202, handing food and water out to people in lines is banned. Instead, the partnership organized a variety of locations around the city with “voter power snack packs” that voters could pick up on their own and bring with them. - After a restaurant fire on Saturday, the Savannah Fire Department seeks the public's help in locating a person of interest. The fire occurred at 13015 Abercorn Street at 2:30 a.m. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in one of the storage rooms. Information leading to an arrest and conviction is eligible for an award of up to $10,000. (WTOC)
- Over the weekend, two deadly shootings brought the city's 2022 total to 300. Of the shootings, Alderwoman Bernetta Lanier said, "This is very upsetting." Compared to the total number of shootings at this time last year, the current number is 57 higher. (WTOC)
