- An overturned tractor-trailer in Port Wentworth caused major traffic delays yesterday, Dec. 5, in Chatham County. The northbound on-ramp to I-95 from Highway 21 was unsafe and therefore shut down. The accident and delays should not affect today's traffic. (WJCL News Savannah)
- The Savannah port terminal will receive a $410 million overhaul for larger ships and cargo containers. On Monday, the Georgia Ports Authority’s governing board approved the project, which aims to increase capacity by over 50 percent by 2025. During the construction, traffic from the Ocean Terminal will shift to the Port of Brunswick. (WSAV-TV)
- Savannah teen Keishaun Campbell stole over $30,000 in merchandise from a local target. At the end of November, Target staff noted Campbell's latest theft: a $524.99 vacuum cleaner. According to police, Campbell led them in a car chase that was eventually called off before he was later arrested. Campbell's charges include shoplifting, obstruction, not having the right license plate on a vehicle, running a red light, speeding, and fleeing from the police. (WSAV)
