Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:

  1. The Chatham County Police Department and the FBI report missing toddler Quinton Simon has been presumed dead. The two agencies will continue searching for the 20-month-old. The child's mother, Leilani Simon, is the prime suspect in the investigation but no charges have been filed yet. Simon has been missing for more than a week. (WJCL News Savannah)
  2. Nearly 10,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled in Chatham County on Wednesday. The spill occurred on Cardinal Road and Elizabeth Circle. The raw sewage leaked from area manholes. Lime was placed in the affected areas and the county installed signs at both locations. (fox28media.com)
  3. The Savannah-Chatham County Public School District honored students and faculty for various achievements during a ceremony on Wednesday night. Over 100 individuals were honored during the achievement ceremony. It was the district's first in-person awards ceremony since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The district will be hosting two other achievement ceremonies this year. (Fox 28 Media)
