Inspectors cited issues like improper food temperatures, uncovered meats, dirty ice machines, and pest activity between Dec. 17 and 23, giving diners a timely look at kitchen conditions across Chatham County.

Hundreds in community show support as family honors teen killed during visit to Savannah (wtoc.com) — Savannah residents and local businesses rallied around the family of Antonio “TJ” Thornton Jr., a teen killed while visiting relatives here, by donating a venue, food, and services for a graduation-themed homegoing ceremony. His mother says the city’s outpouring of love has eased some of the holiday pain and is using her loss to urge Savannah families to confront gun violence before it devastates them too.
