Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:

1. The Savannah Police Department is conducting an investigation into an incident that occurred on Ogeechee Road on Saturday night. A pedestrian crossing the road in a wheelchair was hit by a car. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The department has not released additional details about the crash. (WJCL News Savannah)
2. Renegade Paws Rescue held a Pack Walk event at Skidaway Island State Park on Monday. The purpose of the event was to get the dogs some exercise while offering potential adopters the opportunity to meet with the animals. 3. Savannah business owners expected a significant increase in shopping during the Labor Day weekend. According to the business community, Labor Day signals the unofficial end of summer and families make one final shopping spree during the holiday's extended weekend.
