- The U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Savannah responded to a plane crash on Saturday evening. The incident occurred in the marsh next to the Medway River in Savannah around 6:24 p.m. The Coast Guard crew located the plane's pilot, who was standing on the submerged aircraft. The crash is being investigated by the FAA. (fox28media.com)
- The Savannah Police Department reports that a crane caused temporary closures on I-16 on Saturday afternoon. The crane struck power lines past Chatham Parkway. The department warns that the delays may persist as repairs are completed. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes. (WJCL News Savannah)
- The Chatham County Police Department arrested three protestors on Friday night. The protestors were blocking the driveway at the home of the missing Savannah toddler, Quinton Simon. Responding officers reportedly asked the protestors to move but they refused. William Garrett, Wanda Boatwright, and John Boatwright have been charged with disorderly conduct. (WJCL News Savannah)
