- The Port of Savannah is outperforming the national container market, according to PIERS/IHS Markit data. The Port of Savannah handled 2.1 million TEUs for the year to date. The port handled 107,000 additional TUES between July and October. The East Coast has been gaining market share compared to the West Coast. (Savannah CEO)
- The Savannah Police Department has arrested a man for allegedly hitting a SCAD student and spitting on a department officer. Alfonzo Berry has been charged with credit card theft, criminal trespassing, and simple battery on a law enforcement officer. He has been booked into the Chatham County jail. (WSAV-TV)
- The Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia is facing a food shortage. The food pantry's shelves are empty and the need for donations is at a critical level. According to the organization's executive director, this is the emptiest that the shelves have ever been right before Thanksgiving. The organization is in desperate need of non-perishables. (WTOC)
