Here are the top 3 stories in Savannah today:
- Savannah State junior and TikTok star, Aaron Walker, shares how looming TikTok bans could impact income for influencers like himself, who have mastered the business of their craft. He spends roughly two hours a day working on content that helps him bring in income to support himself, similar to how other students work part-time jobs. His concerns that "it could all go away so fast," spring from recent debates in Congress discussing banning the app for security reasons. (WJCL News Savannah)
- "Bottom Shelf Wine Connoisseurs," a comedy short film by Brenden Davis and Meagan Johnson, premiered this past weekend at Savannah's own Front Porch Improv. Known for being the home of the city's comedy scene, the event brought the cast together in a viewing of the show, which follows the story of a couple who end up at a wine tasting that goes haywire. What's unique about this project is not only was it mostly an all-volunteer production, but most of the performers were improver actors. The six-minute short is now available to the public for free on Front Porch Improv TV’s YouTube channel. (The George-Anne)
- A pedestrian was struck by a car early Wednesday afternoon in downtown Savannah. The incident took place on Broughton Street and Whitaker Street. The woman was hit when a car made a left turn while she was crossing the street. She suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. (WJCL News Savannah)
