Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:

  1. The Savannah Democrats held a reproductive rights rally on Saturday. Savannah Mayor Van Johnson attended the rally with several other prominent Democratic candidates. During the rally, information focused on voter engagement was distributed. Savannah voters will begin early voting on Oct. 17. (WSAV)
  2. A Savannah house fire has displaced four individuals. The fire occurred on Saturday morning in the 1300 block of Bonaventure Road. Thankfully, no one was injured during the fire. Three dogs were rescued by the Savannah Fire Department during the incident. (WTOC)
  3. Savannah residents are preparing for Tropical Storm Ian. The storm's path is still uncertain but residents are using the extra time to prepare hurricane kits and restock supplies. Local stores, such as Berwick Ace Hardware, report a significant uptick in customers searching for supplies like propane tanks, flashlights, batteries, and generators. (WTOC)
