  1. The Mansion in Savannah is hosting a five-course dinner made by award-winning chefs on Apr. 30 to raise money for No Kid Hungry, a non-profit organization that helps combat childhood hunger. One in eight kids are at risk of hunger according to the organization. The event will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, and the chefs are excited to give back. (WJCL 22 News)
  2. Savannah residents have expressed concerns about safety. In case you missed it, a kidnapping and police chase occurred on Monday night Apr. 24. Residents in the area, including Loretta Gamble and Austin Francis, are now more cautious about their surroundings and say they will be keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. (WTOC News)
  3. The Toasted Yolk, a full-service eatery specializing in breakfast, lunch, and brunch, is opening its first location in the state on May 1 in Savannah. The menu includes unique breakfast, lunch specialties, and brunch that can be enjoyed at the full-sized bar or on the patio. The grand opening on May 2 will donate ten percent of sales to a local organization and feature free donuts, half-price mimosas, and a chance to win free breakfast or lunch for a year.
