- After a short Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 2022, the Parade Committee said this year that there will be a record number of parade entries between 315 and 320. Unfortunately, the famed Budweiser Clydesdales and beer wagon will not be at the 2023 parade, but they are scheduled to appear in 2024 for the 200th anniversary parade. Floats and marching units will begin the parade at 10:15 a.m. on Friday, Mar. 17, and the event is expected to end at 2:45 p.m. in front of the viewing stand at Bull and Liberty streets. - The City of Savannah is hosting free energy workshops to help residents save on their electric bills and work towards the 100 percent Savannah Plan's clean energy goal. The next workshop is on Mar. 8 at 11:30 a.m. at the Front Porch on Abercorn Street. There will also be two workshops next week on Mar. 14 and Mar. 16. For more information, visit the Office of Sustainability's website. (WTOC)
- Deathless Food Truck, a vegan food truck, is coming to Savannah later this year! The truck's owners, Gretchen Needy and her husband, want to bring exciting street food from their travels back to Savannah. The couple hopes to open the completely vegan and made-from-scratch street food truck by the September Savannah Jazz Festival. (WSAV-TV)
