Here are the top three stories today in Savannah:

  1. The Chatham County Police Department is searching for a missing man. Derek Ramone San Juan, 30, left his home on Saturday and did not return. He may be driving a black 2006 Chrysler Pacifica with "TEP 9688" tags. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department. (WSAV-TV)
  2. Unity of Savannah dedicated a peace pole on Sunday afternoon. The purpose of the peace pole is to promote peace within the Savannah community while serving as a symbol of unity and hope. Eight languages are featured on the peace pole, which is located on Sunset Boulevard. (WSAV-TV)
  3. Hyundai Motor Company will be breaking ground on a new electric vehicle and battery plant in Savannah on Oct. 25. The new plant will cost $5.5 billion to construct. Production is forecasted to begin on the vehicles in 2025 with a 300,000-unit annual capacity. (Benzinga.com)
