- On Thursday, Mar. 16, paramedics responded to the J.W. Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District after a report that someone had passed out in the lobby bathroom. According to Chuck Kearns of Chatham Emergency Services, during the response, a paramedic was assaulted at the scene and sustained injuries. One suspect has been arrested and someone else was reportedly taken to the hospital. (WJCL News Savannah)
- Medical professionals at Memorial Health in Savannah are offering tips that will hopefully result in fewer alcohol-related injuries over the St. Patrick's Day weekend. The team said that they are prepared for everything from a rare mass traumatic event to several alcohol-related injuries that are often seen on St. Patrick's Day weekend in the city. (WTOC 11)
- On Wednesday, Mar. 15, Woodville-Tompkins High School basketball guard Alfonso Ross officially signed to play on the new University of South Carolina at Beaufort team. Additionally, player Wes Walker signed with Maryville College, a Division III program located in Nashville. In the six years leading the Wolverine program, head coach Lenny Williams has had nine players sign to play basketball at the college level. (Subscription: Savannah Now)

- The Savannah Music Festival officially commences on Thursday, Mar. 23, and will highlight an eccentric collection of all musical genres from across the world in the Historic District of Savannah. One of the best features of the festival is the debuts and artist collaborations between the acts presented to attendees. There's still time to get tickets, so head over the website to secure yours. - The group exhibition “Protégé” at Gustein Gallery is officially open and will remain until Friday, Mar. 31. The showcase features work created by alumni artists of SCAD - The University for Creative Arts and the faculty members they worked closely alongside during their studies. - On Saturday, Mar. 25, the Savannah Children's Theatre will begin its performances of "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical" located in the Crossroads Shopping Center.
