- The Historic Savannah Foundation has erected a plaque at the former home of W.W. Law. The influential Civil Rights leader owned the home for almost 50 years. The home has been rented out by its new owner Troy Williams since the death of W.W. Law in 2002. The foundation is considering plans to erect more plaques honoring influential homes on W. Victory Drive. (Savannah Morning News)
- The parents of Saudi Lee are demanding answers about a police chase resulting in the death of their son. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating the incident that occurred on Jun. 24. The parents and Racial Justice Network are asking the Chatham County District Attorney's office to act swiftly with the investigation. (WJCL News Savannah)
- A new study by the National Low Income Housing Coalition lists Savannah as the 2nd most expensive location to live in Georgia.
