Two separate car crashes happened Sunday, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured, according to Cobb County police.
COBB COUNTY, GA — One man is dead and another is seriously injured after both men got into two separate car accidents in Cobb County Sunday afternoon, police said.
William Miller, 44, of Hiram was driving south on Interstate 285 just south of South Cobb Drive around 1:33 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of the car on the bridge over the Chattahoochee River, Cobb County Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Wayne Delk said.
Miller's car began to spin, crashed into the western bridge rail and started to roll over when Miller was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead on the scene by the Cobb County Medical Examiner, Delk said. Next of kin have been notified.

Sanchez was ejected from the car during the rollover and was taken to Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Delk said investigators believe alcohol contributed to the cause of Sanchez's crash.
Both crashes remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call CCPD at 770-499-3987.
