300-Home Development Coming Near Suntrust Park

VININGS, GA — A new gated community with 300 houses, townhomes and lofts is planned for two miles from Suntrust Park in Cobb County.

Housing in Reverie, which developer Ashton Woods describes as "a stone's throw from downtown Vinings," and two miles from Suntrust, will be open for sale late this year, according to the company.

Located on Cumberland Parkway, the 19-acre community will feature parks, a community pool and a fitness area. Ashton Woods announced the new project this week.

Prices for Reverie have not yet been announced.

News of the planned community comes just days after Silverspot Cinema, a "boutique" movie-theater chain, announced plans to bring a cinema and bar to The Battery Atlanta at Suntrust Park. The 38,000-square-foot space will feature several screens, a full bar and in-theater dining.

In addition to newly released movies, Silverspot will host events including broadcasts of Broadway plays, musicals, rock concerts and opera. It will be located at 945 Battery Avenue SE, near the Comcast Xfinity store.
