Here are the top three stories in Smyrna-Vinings today:

1. Cobb County's "Last Call" program will not be offered at county libraries for the Dec. 6 runoff election. Cobb County Elections will be accepting absentee ballots at its main office on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Monday, Dec. 5. The office will be accepting ballots from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cobb County Elections Main Office is located at 995 Roswell St. Northeast in Marietta. Absentee ballots can also be dropped off at the Smyrna Community Center. (Cobb County Georgia)
2. The City of Smyrna's Public Works and Engineering Departments are reminding the community to not allow fats, oils, and grease to go down drains. The chance of those substances going down drains significantly increases during the holiday season. Residents are urged to make a plan to properly dispose of those substances before cooking. 3. The Cobb Chamber has announced its Annual Dinner celebration will be on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The purpose of the dinner is to celebrate the chamber's accomplishments in 2022. This is the 81st year that the black-tie affair has been held.
