Body Found In Chattahoochee River In Cobb County
The body was found near Akers Mill and Powers Ferry. It was recovered at the Paces Mill boat ramp.
ATLANTA -- A body was found Saturday in the Chattahoochee River during an annual cleanup event. The body was found during the 9th annual Sweep the Hooch day of service near the intersection of Akers Mill and Powers Ferry roads. Cobb County firefighters told Channel 2 the body was recovered via the Paces Mill boat ramp.
Police have not confirmed whether a cleanup volunteer discovered the body.
There were also no reports indicating how long the body had been in the water.
