  1. Cobb County announced that three county facilities will remain closed for at least the rest of this week due to flooding from burst pipes. The buildings include the Vinings Branch Library, the West Cobb Senior Center, and the Freeman Poole Senior Center. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. Georgia's new Medicaid work requirement program is set to launch in the new year on Jul. 1. When the program begins, Georgia will be the only state with Medicaid work requirements. The new plan requires enrollees to complete 80 hours of various work-related activities or community service. (News-Daily.com)
  3. In nearby Sandy Springs, City Council determined that it legally cannot regulate bow hunting due to the Georgia Constitution. Residents have complained about hunters trespassing on their property and asked the Sandy Springs City Council to ban bow hunting during a recent council meeting. (GPB News)

  • If you're planning to drive far for the new year, there's good news for your wallet! Gas prices continued to drop despite the holidays.
