- One of the three Cobb County buildings that were closed last week due to water damage from burst pipes is set to reopen. The West Cobb Senior Center will reopen today, Wednesday, Jan. 4. The other two damaged county buildings are still closed with no word yet on when they will reopen. For residents who have items reserved at the Vinings Library, items will be available for pickup in Smyrna at the Lewis A. Ray Library. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- A Vietnam veteran is working to give back and advocate for fellow veterans through his work with a local program. Cobb County local Dan Hydrick works with the Cobb Veterans Accountability and Treatment Court, an outreach program that helps veterans in the community who have substance dependency or mental health issues.
