  1. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for Cobb County. The freeze watch is in effect through 9:00 a.m. this morning. Cobb County residents are encouraged to cover tender plants and prevent the possibility of bursting outdoor water pipes. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The Cobb County District Attorney's office reports that a woman was sentenced to 20 years in prison for elder abuse. Shelia Knight was convicted of "forcefully" pushing an 86-year-old woman to the ground resulting in the woman breaking her hip. Knight did not re-appear in court when the jury reached its verdict. She was arrested by the Paulding County Sheriff's Office and returned to Cobb County. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  3. The Georgia Department of Public Health has released its latest School-Aged COVID-19 Data report for Cobb County. According to the department, COVID-19 cases increased for children from zero to four years of age. For students between five and 22 years of age, COVID-19 cases decreased.
