I-75 Ramp Closure in Effect This Week in Smyrna-Vinings

Bridge construction will take place at two locations in Cobb County, GDOT says.

Weather permitting, a night time detour will take place in two locations as needed throughout this week for bridge construction within the NWC project corridors, the Georgia Department of Transportation announced Monday.

Work includes beam setting and deck operations and will be held nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Saturday.

One area of work will focus on I-75 Southbound to Cobb Parkway Ramp Closure—Traffic traveling I-75 Southbound to Cobb Parkway will be directed to take the ramp to I-285 Westbound and travel westbound to Paces Ferry Road (Exit 18). Traffic will then be directed to make a left on Paces Ferry Road followed by another left to enter I-285 Eastbound via the ramp from Paces Ferry.

Further work will begin at the I-75 Southbound Entrance Ramp Closure—entrance ramp at Barrett Parkway—Barrett Parkway eastbound and westbound traffic headed I-75 Southbound will be directed to the I-575/Barrett Parkway intersection to enter the interstate via the I-575 Southbound entrance ramp and travel southbound onto I-75.

Detours are likely to result in delays. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving in these areas. Please be advised construction activities, including material deliveries, may result in traffic delays prior to the start of any lane closures. On-site message boards will indicate detour route.
