- State lawmakers in Georgia held a joint study committee with the House and Senate to examine the music industry in the state and hear from organizations and agencies. Teri Anulewicz (D-Smyrna) said, “I think it only makes sense that we have a serious conversation about the same tax credits that the film industry gets to the music industry.” According to Governor Kemp, Georgia saw a record-breaking $4.4 billion spent in the entertainment industry in 2022.
