Atlanta, GA -- A longtime Atlanta real estate developer is seeking to develop a major project next to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

John Williams and Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking to buy the Galleria 75 Office Park, according to Bisnow. That would then open the door for Williams to develop a project consisting of 450,000 square feet of office space; 600 apartments and 45,000 square feet of retail space next to the center.

The site between Cumberland Boulevard and Akers Mill Road is near the Overton Rise Apartments, which Williams bought earlier this year for more than $40 million.
